Pba Tour Bowling
Pba Tour Bowling
In your opinion, who is the best bowler of all time and how do I increase my average?
I like the sport of bowling and I bowl to be competitive. I dream of joining the PBA tour one day but I think it will take a long time before I get there. My current average is 175.
It's tough to compare different eras, because the sport has changed so much over the years. Walter Ray Williams, Jr. has more titles than anyone else. He's also bowled with great success in a few different ball-technology eras.
As for joining the Tour, good luck to you! The best things to do are to get a good coach, be able to practice VERY often, and be able to make your spares almost flawlessly.
If you can, join a PBA Experience league; you'll get to bowl on the same conditions that the pros bowl on, so you really get a picture of what the lanes are like. You won't realize how much of an effect oil has on the sport until you bowl on a tough shot, instead of the adult-bumper-bowling walls that are so common today. You'll quickly learn how important spare-shooting will be.
Bowl in tournaments, maybe even bowl a few PBA Regionals to see how it works, get a taste of it.
Did I mention to find a good coach?
