What more does he have to do? i'm still finding it hard to believe that Ben Smith (who hasn't been a standout player at all) has more all black caps than Gear.

But the reality is Henry and co have a fetish for players with allround skills hence why Dagg and Jane have been played on the wing. Ranger would be more suited as reserve for his utility. He can play centres or wing. Gear will sadly go overseas and follow his brother Henry and co have made it clear he is not in there plans, you cannot ignore what he has done over the last few years but they have done just that.
