Have you used a body made of wood - as Trex committed - to make headboards in the garden?

Looking for answers from professionals or results. Having a garden court, I never want to do. I'm thinking 2 x 6 Trex beds with headboard mesh linings to control gophers. Tired to lose the plants and the headers of wood that does not last. I gopher trap, but the neighbors do not. Any other suggestions?

Cords easily, but retain the form if it is compatible. Three years in the ground and seem to be as solid as they ever were.
