Can I safely use a mechanical roller cam on the street?

I'm building a small block Chevy, I would use a tree Mechanical roller cam, for various reasons, probably will be conducted 3-4 days a week, so it is not entirely driven by day, but my main concern is how you get the oil valve springs and stuff, so I am what I may buy a kit designed for street wear ... and the establishment tab does not bother me, I am told that there should be every 5000 miles in a street car, but it is a vehicle is rarely seen this year ...
