What is the rule for beneficiaries interfearance softball, when a batter hits the bat and the catcher's glove

I play baseball in CMABL and I know what the rule is in baseball. But I train my women's softball team last night and receivers interference is called. She opened the stick and click on the catcher's glove. The umpire called interference on the receiver. Well, the ball touched his chest and left receivers. The runner on 3rd base scored. The game up, but the umpire called a strike, because my little girl opened the bat. But I was like wait a minute, if she swung the bat, but how is a strike, when the bat hits the catcher's glove. I was confused. If someone knows the answer, please let me know the rule. Does the batter get a baseball or reward or something?
