how do i tell my hunter trainer that i want to do jumpers?
I'm really close with the people at this barn, but i really would like to do pony jumpers. I have a hunter pony, but she has recently been injured so far as that she will not be able to jump ever again. please give me some advice on how to handle this situation!!
my current barn is a HUNTER barn. to do jumpers, i would need to switch barns.
You wouldn't necessarily have to change barns.
If your trainer has experience in hunters, I'm sure she knows a good handful about jumpers. You also have to realize that you can't let trainers and barns hold you back, this is your equestrian career, not theirs. You need to make the decision yourself.
Maybe try doing both barns and see which you like better. Change is always for the better. If you really get bored/feel guilty about jumpers and the new barn, you can always switch back.
