How can I break in my Softball Bat? It's a Worth Titan 120?
I just got a Worth Titan 120 and I'm looking to break it in real nice so it has alot of pop.
I use Clincher softballs. I was wondering if those are too light to use for breaking the bat in?
Can I bring the bat to batting cages and use those harder balls on it?
Someone please help!!!!
I'm afraid it will take forever to break in with Clincher's, since they are so light. Can anyone elaborate?
The best way is by taking a lot of Batting Practice. Not only do you break in the bat, you get used to the feel of it, too, which will make you a better hitter. Batting Cage balls aren't normally harder than regular balls, but they are usually a little heavier, so they would help. Mix in live BP with it, too, though, because the timing is different hitting off of a machine, so just hitting in a cage might help the bat, but won't help you as much.
There are artificial ways to break in a bat, too, but not many of them are considered legal by many of the associations, so I'm not going to go into them here.
