Glue on nails are good for a special occasion?

I understand that the "glue" the nails can be harmful to the nail Natural especially if used on a regular basis. However, I have a banquet in my youth group this Sunday and my natural nails are really short and no matter how dirty. I can not acrylic nails, nor do I have now the right time. Is it OK if I have a pair of cheap glue nail Wal-Mart or something and use them for a week or two for the occasion (and sometimes later becomes so for my money out of them)? I will not use nails a regular basis, so do not think it is too damaging to use on this special occasion. Thank you for advice.

Well I be a nail technology probably can answer this question better. The problem with the glue on the nails is the glue is very strong and not good for people with sensitive nails. Irritating to the nail bed causing itching, burning, redness or odd. If you've used before without side effects, so it's good. The second problem is with them when the people will remove them that I think are not true and false withdrawal. Think to something super glued to the nail and it will tear.
